At Bright Red Words Ltd, we stand behind the quality of our publications. Whether you are reading a digital copy or a physical book, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please read our policy below regarding refunds and returns.
1. Digital Products (Ebooks)
Due to the immediate, non-returnable nature of digital content, all sales of ebooks are final. We do not offer refunds, credits, or exchanges for ebooks once the download link has been sent or accessed.
- If you experience technical difficulties accessing your file, please contact us at brightredwords@gmail.com, and we will ensure you receive a functional copy.
2. Physical Books: Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take great care in packaging our books; however, if your order arrives damaged or you received the incorrect title, we are happy to make it right.
- Reporting Period: You must report any damage or order error within three (3) days of the delivery date recorded by our courier partner.
- Evidence Required: To process a claim, please email us your order number and clear photographs of the damaged book and the packaging it arrived in.
3. Resolution Options
If your claim is approved, you may choose one of the following:
- Full Refund: We will refund the full purchase price of the book, including the shipping fees paid at checkout.
- Replacement: We will ship a brand-new copy of the book to you at no additional cost.
4. No-Return Policy (Keep Your Copy)
To provide the fastest resolution and reduce the environmental impact of shipping, we do not require you to mail damaged books back to us. * Once your refund or replacement is approved, you may keep, donate, or recycle the damaged copy at your discretion.
We believe this saves our customers time and avoids the unnecessary cost of return shipping.
5. Non-Returnable Situations
We cannot offer refunds or replacements in the following circumstances:
- Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds if you decide you no longer want the book after it has been shipped or delivered.
- Incorrect Address: If a package is lost or undelivered due to an incorrect shipping address provided by the customer, a refund will not be issued.
- Minor Wear: Books are physical objects; minor cosmetic wear on the edges of the dust jacket or cover that does not affect readability is not considered “damaged.”
6. Processing Refunds
If a refund is approved, it will be processed through our payment gateway, Paystack.
- The refund will be credited back to the original payment method (bank account or card) used during purchase.
- Please allow 5–10 business days for the transaction to reflect in your account, depending on your bank’s processing times.
